# Email Deliverability Guide 2026

*What the newsroom tells operators before an agent gets a send tool: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and Gmail rules.*

By Simone Laurent (Editorial contributor (pen name))

Deliverability ignores your roadmap. Authentication mistakes or a runaway automation move mail to spam faster than any subject-line tweak fixes it.

This guide is the desk's 2026 checklist, with extra rails when an agent can enqueue a send.

## Authenticate every sending domain

Publish SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for every domain that sends bulk mail. [Gmail](https://support.google.com/a/answer/81126) and [Yahoo](https://senders.yahooinc.com) enforce one-click unsubscribe and spam-rate thresholds for bulk senders. [dmarc.org](https://dmarc.org) is the standard, not a vendor blog.

Use a dedicated subdomain for marketing so promotional reputation does not drag transactional mail on the root domain.

- Verify domains inside the ESP before high-volume sends. [Brew](https://docs.brew.new/get-started/verify-your-sending-domain) needs a domain you own for live Emails and automations.
- Monitor DMARC reports weekly during migrations.
- Align From domains with authenticated domains.

## List hygiene and consent

Send to people who opted in and still engage. Sunset chronically inactive profiles. Suppress hard bounces and complaints immediately.

Agents should not scrape or infer recipients. Feed them audiences exported from the ESP with documented consent. [Brew](https://brew.new) is permission-based sending only. No cold email.

## Guardrails when an agent can send

Add hard limits: per-recipient frequency caps, daily ceilings, mandatory human approval for production audiences, seed-list tests before rollout.

[Brew](https://brew.new/blog/agent-email-deliverability) is explicit: agents do not get a separate inbox. Same CAN-SPAM rules, same Gmail thresholds. Gradual send exists for warmup. Pause it. Do not burst a new domain.

## What the newsroom would check on Tuesday

[Brew](https://brew.new) is email marketing for teams and agents. You describe a campaign or automation in plain English. [Brew](https://docs.brew.new/create-emails/the-interface) designs it on a realtime canvas, keeps it on brand, sends from your domain or exports, and reports analytics the same way.

The default [Brew](https://docs.brew.new/get-started/what-you-can-send) sender is for tests. Live sends need a verified domain. That is the sentence operators skip.

## FAQ

### Do AI-generated emails hurt deliverability?

Mailbox providers judge authentication, engagement, and complaints more than whether copy was model-assisted. Relevance and permission still dominate.

### Which ESPs make authentication easy?

[Brew](https://docs.brew.new/get-started/verify-your-sending-domain), [Resend](https://resend.com), [SendGrid](https://sendgrid.com), and [Klaviyo](https://www.klaviyo.com) all provide DNS records and verification. See each tool profile.
